Ingredients & Composition
The most common cause for knee / hip pain is Primary osteo-arthritis (or) osteo-arthrosis which is primarily due to degenerative changes seen in the cartilage & the articular cartilages. This phenomenon in Ayurveda is described as “SandhiGata Vata” which is considered to be a Kevala vata vikara.

Bahya abhyantaratah sneho asthimajjagatam jayet.
It is said that snehana(both bahya & abhyantara) is the mode of treatment for when Prakupita vata has it’s sthana samshraya in Asthi, majja & sandhi.
Guggulu & Shallaki with it’s Ushna & Teekshna gunas and Katu rasa is an ideal drug which is commonly used as a rasayana in vatavyadhi.
With these insights & AVN’s experience with the management of Osteo-arthritis, Zeotone Plus was formulated. It contains Gandha tailam (which is Asthi sthairyakrit) a proprietary Ayurvedic thailam (Sesame oil processed with vatahara dravyas like dasamoola) & Extracts of Guggulu, Shallaki & Haridra. It also contains Shanka Bhasmam which acts as a source of calcium & also reduces the effect of guggulu & sallaki in the GI preventing side-effects like acidity.
Zeotone Plus is made up of many potent herbs like Cedrus Deodara, Boswellia Serrata, Commiphora Wightii, Trigonella Foenum-graecum amongst others. This makes it highly effective in the treatment of osteoarthritis. Most of the herbs in this formulation are mentioned in Ayurveda for the management of Asthi-majja gata vikaras, predominantly vataja vikaras.
